Fan noise and analysis:


The fan generates strong noise during operation, which affects the environment. It is mainly manifested as aerodynamic noise, mechanical noise, and noise from matched motors. Its aerodynamic noise is the main factor. Aerodynamic noise mainly includes rotational noise and eddy current noise.


Rotating noise refers to the uneven velocity and pressure of the circumferential airflow at the blade outlet of a bladed fan when the impeller rotates, resulting in pressure pulsation between the volute and forming noise. The larger the non-uniformity, the stronger the noise. Meanwhile, due to the presence of the wind tongue, the pressure pulsation of the wind tongue - in turn affects the blades of the impeller, forming two types of noise. These noises are all caused by the rotation of the impeller.


Eddy current noise is caused by the vortex generated by the surrounding gas when the impeller rotates at high speed. Due to the effect of air viscosity, the vortex splits into a series of small vortices, causing disturbance and noise in the air.


The aerodynamic noise of a fan radiates strong noise to the outside world through an open fan inlet or outlet.
